Resource Overview​

Azure Backup is Microsoft's cloud-based backup solution for protecting data and applications in the cloud. With Azure Backup, you can back up data from on-premises servers, virtual machines running in Azure, and other cloud services. It offers flexible backup schedules and retention policies, allowing you to customize how frequently and for how long backups are retained. Additionally, it provides features like incremental backups, encryption, and data compression to optimize storage usage and reduce backup times.

  • sku : The SKU of Recovery services vault - Standard,RS0

  • soft_delete_enabled : Enable soft delete for the Vault - true,false

  • vm_backup_policy

    • backup_frequency : Enable soft delete for the Vault - Daily,Weekly
    • backup_time : The time of day to perform the backup
    • timezone : The timezone of backup time
    • retention_count : The number of daily backups to keep - 7~9999

    • backup_frequency : The frequency of backup - Daily, Weekly
    • backup_time : The time of day to perform the backup
    • timezone : The timezone of backup time
    • daily_retention_count : The number of daily backups to keep - 1 ~ 200

  • protected_share

    • source_storage_account_name : the name of the storage account
    • source_share_name : The name of the File share to backup
    • backup_policy_name : The name of the backup policy to use

  • tag : Tag to categorize resources - up to 512 characters, key:value
